The purpose of this article is to provide step-by-step instructions to Reset or Extend Candidate Interviews.
Article intended for Administrators/Recruiters/Hiring Managers with access to RIVS.
Important Note:
- Candidates cannot reset or extend interviews themselves.
- If the requisition is currently 'Processing,' wait for it to complete before making changes.
Pending Interview (Interview not yet completed)
- An interview can only be reset if it has been completed. To perform a reset on a pending interview the candidate will need to complete the interview first.

To extend the expiration on a pending interview:
- Go to the candidate record.
- Click on the blue "Extend Expiration" button on the right side of the page.

In the pop-up window:
- Select the time you wish to extend the interview (in days/hours) or choose a new expiration date and time.
- Ensure you have selected the method for the extension.
- Click 'Continue'.

Do you want to send another digital interview invitation?
- If yes, review the email and click 'Send'.
- If no, click 'Skip'.
Expired Interview
- Go to the candidate record.
- Click on the blue "Extend Expiration" button on the right side of the page.

In the pop-up window:
- Select the time you wish to extend the interview (in days/hours) or choose a new expiration date and time.
- Ensure you have selected the method for the extension.

Do you want to send another digital interview invitation?
- If yes, review the email and click 'Send'.
- If no, click 'Skip'.
- Candidate will now show as pending in the candidate list of the requisition.
Completed Interview
- Go to the candidate record.
- Click on the blue "Redo Specific Questions" button on the right side of the page.

In the pop-up window:
- Select a new expiration date in days/hours from the time you reset the interview.
- Place a checkmark next to each question you want the candidate to retake.
- Click 'Next'.

Do you want to send another digital interview invitation?
- If yes, review the email and click 'Send'.
- If no, click 'Skip'.
- Once reset the candidate request status will show adjustments requested on the requisition's candidate list
Additional Information
- Only completed interviews can be reset. Pending interviews must be completed first. Expired interviews need their expiration extended before resetting.

If it is impractical for candidates to complete a pending interview:
- Send a request to support to mark the interview as complete.
- Provide the requisition name and the candidate’s email address for this process.
