Ending Support for Internet Explorer
Effective December 22, 2020, we no longer support the use of Internet Explorer
Why are we dropping support for Internet Explorer?
RIVS Video and audio recording will no longer work on Internet Explorer without Adobe Flash Player. Internet Explorer is dependent on Adobe Flash Player and Adobe will no longer be supporting Flash Player after December 31, 2020.
It is important to note that Microsoft is recommending people no longer use Internet Explorer as their browser. Microsoft no longer sees Internet Explorer as a browser, but sees it as a “compatibility solution” for enterprise customers to deal with legacy sites that should be updated for modern browsers.
What can you expect?
As of December 22, 2020, if a user has Microsoft Edge installed and attempts to access any interviewstream link from Internet Explorer, the user will be redirected to open RIVS with Microsoft Edge.
If the user does not have Microsoft Edge installed they will be redirected to a page to inform them that “The website you were trying to reach doesn't work with Internet Explorer” and provide a link to learn more about Microsoft Edge.
What browsers does interviewstream support?
We recommend using the most recent version of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge as an internet browser.
If you are running an older version of Windows, it is important to note that any version of Windows prior to Windows 8 is no longer supported by Microsoft. That includes the widely used Windows 7 and Windows XP.
